New Moms Need Sleep

When I was pregnant with my first, I read, prepped, took classes, and even knew the basics behind healthy sleep habits. But when my little newborn, at 10 days old, decided napping was not for her and night time feeds meant 1.5 hours of being awake, I found myself doing whatever it took to get her to sleep! I nursed, rocked, shushed, and bounced her to sleep. It was a long, tiring process. I was suffering from post-partum depression, I was exhausted, and I wasn’t enjoying motherhood the way I thought I would. I was at the end of my rope and I NEEDED a solution.

Does this sound familiar?

Since you are here, I’m guessing it might.

That is when I found this method and the techniques that changed our lives.

With hard work and consistency (the key!) We learned how to give our little non-sleeper the tools she needed to sleep independently. I had time in my day to get stuff done, her night wakings decreased rapidly, my husband and I ate hot dinners (it’s true!) and had alone time. It was amazing. The changes I saw in Ariel were even better. I could tell she was falling behind developmentally from being chronically over-tired. Plus she cried quite a bit and seemed generally uncomfortable. When she caught up on her sleep debt she was like a different baby. She was so happy! She smiled all the time, and finally had the energy to work on her physical milestones. It became such a joy to watch her and to be her mom.

After my experience I found myself having a continued interest in children’s sleep. I offered to share my experience and knowledge with friends who were interested. Seeing them get results like mine made me realize how wonderful it would be to help families all the time. So here I am, certified as a consultant through the very program that changed my life. I would love to change yours too.
